A bittersweet comedy about the female world. Two epochs, two ways of being a woman.
1960’s: a card game among friends. Every Thursday afternoon, four ladies share their stories of motherhood, marital problems, affairs: life in general. They fight, they laugh, they talk in complicity and with a bit of cynicism.
30 years later: their daughters meet at the funeral of one of their mothers. They are the same children that, during the card games, were playing in the other room. Like their mothers, they tell each other their dreams and fears, of the time that has passed by, of work issues and raising families.
Decades have passed, but feminine identity has remained the same. Regardless of these women’s careers and their emancipation: being a woman means, now more than ever, being energetic and cheerful, working hard and suffering.
