CATTLEYA LAUNCHES “THINK|CATTLEYA”, A NEW ADVERTISING PRODUCTION COMPANY

With the arrival of Monica Riccioni, Cattleya is ready to face a new challenge: after cinema and television, now advertising.

After announcing the agreement with Universal Pictures and Focus Features International at the beginning of 2009, Cattleya continues its process of expansion and diversification with the launch of think|cattleya, an advertising production company.

Monica Riccioni’s great experience, combined with Cattleya’s contacts, allow the new company to place itself on the advertising market with a vast network of local and international talent and a profound knowledge of the medium and its unique characteristics, all from an advantageous negotiating position.

think|cattleya, therefore, can offer its clients access to Italian and international directors, stars and directors of photograpy through Cattleya’s, Universal Pictures’ and Focus Features International’s channels. At the same time the company can offer Italian directors the opportunity to avail themselves of the groundbreaking language and features of the advertising market.

think|cattleya will be run by Monica Riccioni, who collaborated for 20 years with FilmMaster, producing over 500 commercials for prestigious Italian and international brands, such as Gucci, Bulgari, Telecom Italia, Lavazza, Fiat, Campari, Enel, Rai, Poste Italiane and many others.
The General Manager will be Francesca Carignani, who comes from Ferrovie dello Stato as Manager of Advertising, Brand and Corporate Image and has 15 years experience at Armando Testa as Group Client Director.
The Executive Producer will be Philip Rogosky, who has over 20 years experience in campaigns shot in Italy and abroad for the main advertising agencies and guarantees the company a deep understanding of international production opportunities.

Cattleya President Riccardo Tozzi states: “I am certain that think|cattleya will be a stimulating adventure, and I’m proud to have a partner such as Monica Riccioni, known to be one of the most brilliant producers in advertising. Our goal is for ideas and techniques to move along in a dynamic way, passing through cinema, television and advertising to gather new inputs and experiment with new languages. Additionally, thanks to the invaluable presence of our partners at Universal, we intend to give the new company a decidedly international edge ”

Monica Riccioni adds: “For me think|cattleya represents an adrenaline rush towards the future. This encounter with partners whose professional background is totally different from mine is very exciting, and I am fascinated by the opportunity to take advantage of all the synergies to be created between cinema, television and advertising”.

Christian Grass, Focus Features International’s Co-CEO says: “We are very happy about the creation of think|cattleya, as it is an important step in Cattleya’s diversification of its activities and its further opening itself to the international market.  We believe that our combined efforts will allow the company to establish fruitful relationships with top talent from around the world”.
